I know I haven't been on in like 3 months but I want to ask PW which is going to be better cause I am about to play a rom.....Pokemon Black or Pokemon White.....and for the classics which is better for each region.

Kanto: Red, Blue or Yellow

Johto: Gold, Silver or Crystal

Hoenn: Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald

Kanto remakes: Fire-Red or Leaf-Green

Sinnoh: Diamond, Pearl, Platinum

Johto Remake: Heart Gold or Soul Silver

just say which one you like the best.

Unova: The defining difference between Black and White is that Black has Black City, a massive city with (supposedly) all kinds of neat items and quests or something. White, however, has the White Forest. This contains a bunch of Pokemon and stuff- though I haven't gotten there in my White ROM.

Kanto: Probably Red or Blue, because in Yellow you only get to choose Pikachu as your starter, but it follows you around like Heartgold and Soulsilver. Unfortunately, this is the only Pokemon that does this in Yellow. But if you like Pikachu better than any of the Kanto starters then by all means, Yellow's your ROM.

Johto: Crystal. No doubt about it. It has a special storyline arc with Suicune. Although I have lots of fun with my hard copy of Silver. This was just a good generation in general.

Hoenn: I have little to no knowledge about this generation. With R/S/E it seems like your best option would be to get all three in order to best appreciate the story. If you have your heart set on just one, though, I'd again suggest the third installment: Emerald. It incorporates both Team Aqua and Team Magma. The story seems more in-depth, and it features Rayquaza upon startup. How much cooler can you get than Rayquaza greeting you with his smiling ray-of-sunshine face?

Kanto V2: I have no clue whatsoever. Sorry. (Although, to the best of my knowledge, FR sports Charizard upon startup, and Charizard is undoubtedly the coolest Pokemon in the world...)

Sinnoh: PLATINUM ALL THE WAY. Platinum has Giratina's Griseous Orb, and thus it can be in its Origin Forme. You can capture both Dialga and Palkia and journey into the Distortion world. DEFINITELY Platinum.

Johto V2: Even though I myself have HG, I would suggest SS. Soulsilver features Lugia, Latios and fricking G R O U D O N. These three ROCK. How much more persuasion do you need? (If you're wondering why I have Heartgold it's because my friend and I collaborated and she NEEDED SS. I didn't care too much because I already had Lugia in my Platinum, but not Ho-oh. At the time I wasn't really considering what I'd have in the game, because I was just buying the game as a sort of extension to get more Pokemon for my Platinum dex. Over time though, I realized that Heartgold was just as fun as Pt, if not better.)

Gen1: There is little to no difference Between Red and Blue, only Pokemon. Yellow, again, i would say the same as Quib. Only get it if for some other worldly reason, you do not like Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur. Only one piece of advice if you're playing yellow though. GET A FREAKING BUTTERFREE BEFORE CHALLENGING BROCK, i cannot stress that enough.

Gen2: Possibly my Favourite Generation ^_^. It again, depends on the Pokemon, but i would go for Crystal, due to the Suicune Side Story. I never owned Crystal myself, but i'm sure that it's a better option than either of the othr two games.

Gen3: Emerald right off the bat. Do not even consider the other options. Emerald has you going to Sky Pillar in order to complete the Story. You can then go back before beating the Elite 4 to get Rayquaza, and nothing says Owned quite like sweeping Drake with a lv70 Rayquaza.b Also, Emerald has the better Green Colour Scheme for the Player

Gen3 Kanto: Again, a matter of personal Prefference.

Gen4: Platinum FTW. Giratina gets the Griseous Orb, meaning it will be in Origin Forme when you can get it, and therefore having a higher Attack stat. Not much else to say, as everything else is pretty much the same as Diamond and Pearl, I will say one thing though, Kricketune FTW

Gen4 Johto: Once More, a matter of personal Prefference. I got HG due to my sheer Love of Donphan. If you are picking over the Legendary, Don't. You can get Both Ho-Oh and Lugia on either game. If you speak to a certain Old Man in Pewter City, he will give you the Rainbow/Silver Wing, depending on your Game, Rainbow for SS, and Silver for HG. You can then go and catch the Other version Leggie at lv70.

Gen5: I'm going to get White, because of the amount of Pre-Gen5 Pokemon available in White Forest, making it the game with the most version Specifics yet, and because Zekrom is Cool

Also, I thought of another reason to get White: no Reshiram. I mean, W H Y did they put that Shark-fin shaped thing on Reshiram's stomach!? What earthly force could have POSSESSED them to sit down in their conference hall for the discussion of what the new MASCOTS looked like and say 'Hey, I know, let's give one of them a massive protrusion sticking from between its legs!' This doesn't bode well with me.

XD Blaziken has the same problem, but not quite as noticeable lol

crystal, i haven't played the others

ruby, its easier than emerald and you can get rayquaza

leefgreen, i like green XP

Platinum, Because of giratina

1st Generation - Blue, It's the only 1st GEN game I've played.

2nd Generation - Silver, it was my first pokemon game I beat.

3rd Generation(s) - Ruby, Because I had a shiny Torchic and freaked out about it.

4th Generation(s) - Pearl, Because it had pink.

5th Generation - None so far, they all seem really sexually themed and a bit rascist.

Also Rayquaza, why Platinum? The Origin Form? Is that the only reason? Because you can get Giratina in the other two games you twit.

and at a higher level on the other two, at lv70 in D/P while only lv47 in Pt, for plot purposes of course though XD

All the same, Platinum is the one I had which attracts me to it, and aside from being able to catch Dialga and Palkia at high levels you can have Giratina's Origin forme. (Plus it's got a better color scheme than pink. :P )

i like platinum because shaymin sky form, rotom's extra forms and origin form, also i like the torn world, and the battle tower is replaced with those other ones, i hate the battle tower
