The first thing you need to do, is make sure you've properly filled out a Trainer Application, and gotten it approved by a moderator or administrator. Then, you may start your Journey in the World of Pokemon section of the forums. Be sure to start a new topic, unless you have permission or join an [Open] thread.
Finally, Paul [this is sample name, you need to put yours] woke up and he was ready for new adventure... ''Good morning my pokemon, are you ready?'' Pikachu was happy because he seemed to like Paul. And so Paul started off on his adventure...
+ You can add many more things as you want, this is a bare minimum post and we prefer more details. details are the spice of RP!
+ Use quotation marks[" "] when your character is speaking.
+ Put a link to your character profile in [url=your profile's url here]Character Name[/ url] tags.
~~~ How to catch pokemon ~~
Start new thread in the region your character is in. Begin your journey by introducing your character, and say what s/he's doing. Here is an example with Paul, from earlier:
Finally, Paul woke up, ready for a new adventure. ''Good morning my pokemon, are you ready?'' Pikachu was happy because he seemed to like Paul. And so Paul started off on his adventure. Paul and his pokemon were ready to catch a new pokemon. They stopped in route 123 and suddenly, a __________ showed up!
You may also use open ended posts to see what happens:
Paul was walking along route 123, happily enjoying the company of his Pokemon. He wasn't sure where his journey would lead him, or what adventures lie in store for him down the road, but he was sure with Pikachu it would be a great one...
+ then wait to admin or mod act as a pokemon [sometimes they act as other trainers too].
+ If you want to catch wild Pokemon, you need pokeballs, which you can buy in Item shop
